Today, we decided to go to Fashion Valley Mall. It’s a large outdoor mall on the outskirts of downtown San Diego. There are lots of magnet stores like Macy’s and Bloomingdales. Large secondary stores like Pottery Barn, and lots of restaurants, and even a Cineplex. Tesla Motors doesn’t have a showroom there, but they have a car on display with banners and a couple of sales associates ready to answer any questions.

Macy’s and Bloomingdale’s were competing fiercely for weekend business. Both stores had hired DJs to spin up music to shop by. However, the music in Macy’s was just too loud for my taste.

The temperature was still about 15 degrees warmer than normal (the heat wave continues). So after a few hours we decided to return to the hotel and get refreshed before meeting up with family for a nice dinner.

Tomorrow will be our last day in San Diego. We’ll go to church, and then we expect to do some sightseeing downtown. Stay tuned.
